Next-gen consumers are using tech, social, and Web3 in a variety of ways to discover and purchase new brands. Here are a few examples:
Social commerce: Next-gen consumers are increasingly discovering and purchasing products through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram. These platforms offer a variety of features that make it easy for consumers to shop, such as in-app shopping carts and product tags. Additionally, social media platforms allow consumers to see recommendations from their friends and followers, which can help them discover new brands.
Live shopping: Live shopping events, where brands partner with influencers to sell products in real-time, are becoming popular among next-gen consumers. Live shopping events offer a number of advantages, such as the ability to ask questions and interact with the influencer in real-time. Additionally, live shopping events often provide exclusive discounts and promotions, which can make them even more appealing to next-gen consumers.
Web3: Web3 technologies like NFTs and the metaverse create new opportunities for brands to connect with next-gen consumers. For example, brands can create and sell NFTs that give consumers access to exclusive products or experiences. Additionally, brands can partner with metaverse platforms to create virtual stores and customer experiences.
Here are a few specific examples of how next-gen consumers are using tech, social, and Web3 to discover and purchase new brands:
A consumer might see an ad for a new clothing brand on Instagram. They might then click on the ad to learn more about the brand and its products. If they're interested, they might purchase a product directly from Instagram.
A consumer might watch a live shopping event where an influencer is selling a new type of beauty product. They might then ask the influencer questions about the product in real-time. They might purchase the product from the influencer's website if they're happy with the answers.
A consumer might purchase an NFT from a brand that gives them access to exclusive products or experiences. For example, they might buy an NFT from a fashion brand that gives them access to a private shopping event.
A consumer might visit a virtual store in the metaverse to purchase a product from a brand. For example, they might see a virtual Nike store in the metaverse to acquire a pair of sneakers.
Next-gen consumers are using tech, social, and Web3 in various ways to discover and purchase new brands. Brands that want to reach next-gen consumers need to be present on the platforms they use and create relevant content.
Breaking Habits in Your Restaurant Strategy
Breaking habits can be difficult, but it is possible with the right approach. One of the key ways to break habits is to understand that habits are formed through a four-stage process:
Cue: The cue triggers your brain to go into automatic mode and perform the habit. What you are doing now on your social media marketing.
Craving: The craving is the feeling of desire that you experience before performing the habit. This is the need for 90 seconds of connection and attention.
Response: The response is the habit itself. You get it.
Reward: The reward is the satisfaction you experience after performing the habit. This is where you think you won that customer, but you are wrong - you only won them that day.
